Inorganic & Bioinorganic Chemistry
The Inorganic & Bioinorganic Chemistry group aims to align its research with EU priorities, within a Circular Chemistry framework. The developed inorganic molecules find applications in health, advanced synthesis, C1 chemistry, functional materials and environment. These strategies address societal challenges with inorganic chemistry, aiming to contribute to health, environmental and sustainability goals. This group’s contributions extended the design of anticancer drugs, antibiotics, metal-organic frameworks, molecular catalysts, and catalytic materials for small molecule activation, and innovative recovery methods for lanthanides. Its research also spans areas from CO2 conversion and biomass utilization to the development of smart molecules for applications in sensing, catalysis, therapy and healing.
