On April 28, 2026

On the 14th and 15th of April, CIÊNCIAS ULisboa hosted the 2026 edition of Jobshop, an entrepreneurial endeavor to help the recently graduated and current students explore their future careers, bringing the academia and industry together.

The research centers were invited to be present on the second day and CQE ensured their presence with a booth where several members of CQE (Ana Mestre, Sara Realista, Joaquim Marquês e Vasco Cachatra) and their students presented and discussed the work currently developed by our members.

During a recruitment session proposed by CIÊNCIAS ULisboa, CQE co-coordinator Ana Viana conducted several interviews with a wide variety of bachelor and master students from areas ranging from Chemistry and Biochemistry, as well as Physics, Computer and Mathematical Sciences. This session was relevant to identify future students who will be developing their research within CQE.

In the afternoon, a session entitled “Indústria Farmacêutica e Biotecnológica: Desafios Científicos e Éticos” was led by a panel of specialists invited from CQE, Medinfar and BioISI. Fernando Antunes represented CQE and was able to discuss the importance of academia and industry collaborations, a core goal for CQE, with two spin-offs, R-nuucell and Delox, representing clear examples of fundamental research leading to socio-economical impact.
