During the celebrations of the 115th anniversary of Ciências, CQE researchers Jorge Correia and Marta Sousa Silva were awarded the excellence in teaching award and Ana Viana received an honorary mention. These awards reflect the results of the surveys conducted during the year 2024/2025, where the students can provide feedback for their different subjects across the CIÊNCIAS curriculum and evaluate their professors in several categories. This recognition not only enforces the core values of CQE but will also impact the recognition of our center in attracting new talented students to develop their future research carers.
A session titled “Inovar, Proteger, Impactar: O Futuro das Ideias Científicas” was also held during the celebrations where Fernando Antunes was one of the researchers invited, where he shared the history of Delox – a great example of fundamental research in chemistry and biochemistry resulted in technology with a societal impact.
