In a solemn and prestigious ceremony held at the iconic Naval School in Rio de Janeiro, the Brazilian Academy of Sciences awarded the Corresponding Member Diploma to Professor Armando Pombeiro, a distinguished international scientist from CQE. The event was part of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences’ annual Magna Meeting, which took place from May 6 to 8.
The diploma was presented by the Brazilian Academy of Sciences President, Professor Helena Nader, during a session marked by tradition and ceremony at the historic Naval School, a renowned institution originally founded in Lisbon in the 18th century. Also present were Professor Ricardo Galvão, President of the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development, and Professor Luís Rebelo Fernandes, acting Minister of Science, Technology, and Innovation.
