Laura Esteves, a researcher at ZEOLCAT from CQE, received an honorable mention from Fundação Amélia de Mello for her application as principal investigator for the Bolsa Jorge de Mello – Indústria e Inovação, with the project FreshIST – an innovative solution to combat the waste of climacteric fruits and vegetables.
The team also included Filipa Ribeiro, João Silva, Auguste Fernandes, and Lívia Valle, all researchers at ZEOLCAT/CQE, as well as the industrial partner Campotec.
This initiative by Fundação Amélia de Mello, promoted by COTEC Portugal, aims to recognize and financially support a project in the early stages of developing a business concept in the field of industrial innovation.
