First CQE BreakThrough Talks- Prof. Kristina Tschulik
On June 18, 2026

On 9 June 2026, CQE hosted the first session of its new seminar series, CQE BreakThrough Talk, which aims to strengthen connections between researchers, funding agencies and the wider scientific community.

The first speaker was Prof. Kristina Tschulik from Ruhr University Bochum in Germany, a leading researcher in electrochemistry and nanomaterials. In her lecture, “Advanced Electrochemical Tools to Characterise Nano-Electrocatalysts”, she presented recent advances in single-entity electrochemistry, a powerful approach that enables the study of individual nanoparticles during electrochemical reactions. By revealing how the structure and composition of nanoparticle influence their catalytic activity, these techniques provide unique insights into the performance and stability of catalyst. Prof. Tschulik`s talk highlighted the importance of advanced characterisation tools for developing more efficient electrocatalysts for water electrolysis.
