On May 6th Ciências hosted the 2026 edition of Dia Aberto, opening its doors to the wider society, with a special focus on high school students, to showcase the science currently being developed on campus. CQE actively joined the initiative with several members presenting their research and engaging wit visitors throughout the day. During the oral presentation sessions, Carlos Cordeiro and Célia Romão shared their latest findings. In the scientific speed-dating activity, Célia Romão, Filomena Martins and Olinda Monteiro had informal and interactive conversations with participants. The programme continued in the research labs where Ana Mestre, Ana Viana, Carlos Cordeiro, Cristina Moiteiro, Paulo Martinho, Sara Realista and Vasco Cachatra shared their scientific achievements through engaging experiments, captivating the audience and inspiring interest in future careers in science.
