Stanford University and Elsevier have released the 2025 edition (based on 2024 citation data) of the Top 2% Most-Cited Researchers list, which spans a wide range of disciplines, including Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Energy, Environmental Science, and Nanotechnology, among other related scientific areas.
The ranking covers 22 major scientific fields and 176 subfields, analysing data from more than 200,000 researchers worldwide. Separate rankings are provided for career-long impact and single-year impact, based on standardized citation indicators that reflect both productivity and influence within each field.
