CQE researcher Sofia Aparício has recently been honored with the Prémio Maria de Lourdes Pintasilgo, an award recognizing outstanding young female engineers who graduated from Instituto Superior Técnico.
Earlier in November, Sofia also received the First Honorable Mention from the Sociedade Portuguesa de Materiais award for her master’s thesis.
Both awards recognize the excellence of her master’s thesis, which focused on recycling HDPE plastic waste through dissolution-precipitation. This work was conducted within Sustainable Technologies and Green Solvents group.
